Shocking stat reveals Liverpool’s woeful injury record

Liverpool have been plauged with injuries all season long (2022-23)

Liverpool have by far the worst injury record in the Premier League, a new graph courtesy of The Times and The Sunday Times has revealed. The information is on Premierinjuries.com.

Liverpool players have missed a combined total of 162 Premier League games this season through injury, the most by far of any team in the league.

Luis Dias, Diogo Jota, Roberto Firmino, Arthur Melo, James Milner, Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez are just some of the important players in Liverpool’s squad that have missed extensive game time with injuries this season.

The team with the second worst Injury record in the league is Chelsea with 124, still far behind Liverpool.

Brighton players have only missed a combined 46 games this season with injury, with the Seagulls having the best injury record in the league. Next is Manchester City with a combined 49 games missed through injury.

League leaders Arsenal’s squad have missed a combined 79 games through injury.

Injuries does not explain everything behind Liverpool’s inconsistent form but missing so many key players during so many games would negatively impact even the best teams in the world.
