Football Science Conference promoted by Milan Lab | AC Milan

The conference will offer a morning of in-depth analysis, divided into three scientific sessions, dedicated to some of the most relevant topics in football performance today: neuromuscular assessment, strength, power, movement quality, injury prevention, skill development in professional football, physical conditioning in men’s and women’s football, data analysis, virtual reality, and machine learning applied to training and evaluation processes.

The central focus of the program will be a keynote lecture by Jan Helgerud, Professor of Medicine at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, on “The Norwegian 4×4 Method in Football Science, by the Creator.” The session will be moderated by Andrea Riboli, Stefano Mazzoni, and Fabio Esposito.

The program will also feature contributions from researchers, professionals, and specialists from MilanLab, AC Milan, the University of Milan, and the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, confirming the value of an increasingly close dialogue between the field, research, physical conditioning, and education. For AIAC, sponsoring the Football Science Conference is part of a vision of continuous growth for the coaching profession, which today requires coaching in an increasingly interdisciplinary context, where technical, scientific, physical, cognitive, and methodological skills contribute to performance and player development.

The Football Science Conference therefore represents a significant opportunity to promote culture, education, and innovation in the service of football and its coaches.
